"Really bad customer service"

About: Fisher Medical Centre

Booked an appt with Chiropractor recently, was told initial consultation would be £45 for 45 minutes. Called in at 8:25am out by reception but 8:55, I asked the receptionist to find out if i would have to pay the £45 or £30 for 30 minutes (which it had been), she said she would enquire and tbf this receptionist was nice. I went to pay - they don't accept card payment. Said I will have to go into Skipton she said fine, she was waiting to hear back from Chiropracter regarding charge.. When I got back to the surgery there was a note on my car saying for patients only and not to park there, well I was a patient (a paying one at that) and if the person who had booked my original appt had mentioned on the phone cash only, I wouldn't have had to trek to Skipton. Anyway receptionist said £45 for initial appt and he had done all he could in 30 mins, well charge me for a £30 mins appt, I'm not tight and work in the nhs myself, but I don't think anyone likes to pay for time they have not used. Spoke to the Practise manager about note on car, she said she saw me get a mountain warehouse bag out of the back of my car (that was correct as I had a brolly inside, in case it rained) and go to into town. I said that's because no one told me it was cash only. If she had spoken to the receptionist she would have known what I was doing. The car park is for poorly patients coming to see the Dr, which I understand but there was loads of space in the car park when I left ( wish I had taken a photo). If you have time to watch the coming and goings of people in the car park you can't be very busy, maybe a practice manager is not needed at that surgery. I was out of the car park by 9:15 which was suppose to be my actual appt time finish

We are sorry that you feel you received poor customer service when accessing the private Chiropractor Services at Fisher Medical Centre. The Chiropractor collects his own payments now, therefore there will be no more confusion over payments in the future. Unfortunately, our free patient car park is repeatedly abused by people not attending the surgery, which sometimes requires us to remind members of the public. This was an innocent misunderstanding by our Patient Services Manager.
