"Endoscopy and Colonoscopy"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

The nurse that booked me in was uncaring and unsympathetic, she gave the very basic information and only when I asked her, she was just civil. The doctor was businesslike and disinterested. I told him I would not go through the procedure without sedation and If i wanted him to stop if I would put my hand up, I had a fear sedation wouldn’t work as it’s something I use on a daily basis, I told him this. I was given ‘sedation’ it didn’t work at all, I was very distressed indicated strongly that I wanted him to stop he didn’t I was very frightened, gagging and heaving and consequently he got “suboptimal views” it was horrible I feel dreadful and will NEVER have that done there again. It was a Saturday so I would urge no one to go on a Saturday the whole experience was unfriendly and terrifying!!!
