My precious Dad aged 85,spent the last month of his life in Wincanton Community hospital, and sadly passed away there on 21st June 2019.Having been diagnosed a year earlier with Lymphoma, as a family we had travelled daily for many months to Taunton and Yeovil hospital, and were very relieved that Dad could be cared for in the last weeks of his life in his home town. Nothing but nothing was too much trouble for the exceptional staff at Verrington. Dad recieved treatment, care and kindness that was second to none, as did we as visitors who constantly surrounded Dads bed at every opportunity. We were able to have constant access to a wheelchair to enable our disabled mum to visit Dad frequently and on the day it became obvious that Dad was making his final journey, every facility was put in place for us to be with Dad when he passed away. It was made possible for us all to be with him which is the hugest of comforts now. A wonderful little hospital that will always hold a very special place in my heart.
"Wonderful care"
