"A&E Visit"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / Accident and emergency

On advice of GP attended A&E today with my husband who has been suffering painful red eyes for over 2 weeks which the local pharmacist and GP had diagnosed as Blepharitis .Within 2 hours we were on our way home having been seen by triage and an excellent nurse practitioner who undertook a thorough examination and found the problem was with the eye itself not the eyelid and had administered the correct ointment and shown me how to apply it as well as arranging an appointment at the eye clinic. .Exceptionally kind and efficient service for which we are very grateful.

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback regarding your experience of our Trust. I will ensure I share your lovely comment with the team in ED.

I do hope your husband is now recovering.

With best wishes
