I was admitted to C3 via STU with renal stones. I was treated by my nurse who was so lovely and friendly, the ward had a good feel about it. The staff all seemed really friendly and happy. I asked for pain killers and they were provided practically straight away, I was always asked if I needed anything to eat or drink or for pain. The ward arm was busy and I am astonished at how patients speak to nurses now, some are down right rude and obnoxious. The night staff were a little noisy at night but on my second night the manger gave me ear plugs and eye mask. The male nurse in charge was great fun always smiling, said hello to every patient and asked if we needed anything, he even serves meals. There was a good atmosphere on the ward. The nurses were very good with the elderly patients, taking their time with them. Some of the patients you could please no matter how much they did for them. These people deserve respect and gratitude not rudeness and bad attitude from patients and visitors. It’s disgusting. C3 is a lovely ward with lovely staff. I can’t thank them enough for their care and I will see them again when I come back for my surgery .
