My father was discharged after 3 nights on Ward B6 at Stepping Hill. I'd like to compliment all the staff on the ward. My father was initially quite upset with noise levels in AMU and requested a quieter environment. He was transferred to a side room on B6. After some initial problems, he settled in very well and by the end, he was almost reluctant to leave the hospital! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. My father doesn't settle well in new places and can suffer with anxiety. So it says a lot that the ward staff turned the situation around. They seemed to understand his personality and were able to approach him and converse in a way that appeased any difficult situations. This isn't always the case with him as he can be a difficult person to approach.
Drs Rehman and Naureen were excellent. All the nursing staff and assistants amazing. My dad even insisted on a photo with them all before leaving!
So thanks again to all concerned.
