"cut on forehead of 18 months boy"

About: The Great Western Hospital / Accident and emergency

I am very dissatisfied with service provided on 15/16-04-209.We went to A&E department because our son hit corner of the sofa what made huge cut on his forehead. We went in quick check in and then..... 5 hours waiting with 18 months child to be seen by a doctor or nurse to put stitches or glue to close the cut . i was told that i cant give him any food before being seen by doctor. can you imagine how child is behaving without eating for 5 hours ? only water. after 3 hours i went to see lady at the check in desk and she said that somebody will come out soon . no luck until 5 hours doctor ( male ) in green apron , came out and was unpleasant clean the wound really hard, little one was creaming full of pain. then he said that they are TOO BUSY to put stitches on, and in addition to that they have only 1 room where they can do stitches but it is busy at the moment and because we won't wait any longer (we wont because little one was hungry and tired after sitting 5 hours in dirty and dusty play area with kids who came up there with broken bones and high fevers.).

he said he can only put glue on. so he did it. and then left us and we asked nurse to put some plaster on to make sure it wont open or little one wont open it by himself while touching his face. really disjointed. half of the nurse staff were speaking their own languages. wont recommend and i hope i wont have to come back . if I will have to I will go to Cirencester clinic. I am sure I WONT hear anything back from any of NHS staff because they don't care. I felt like real FOREGINER.
