"Clinic appointment changed at short notice"

About: St John's Hospital / Gynaecology

My daughter made a phone call to organise a clinic apt in St Johns gynaecology . 

The date and time was agreed to suit .  She is currently using crutches and as her Mum I swapped my days of work to drive her . I am an AHP in the NHS and I  reorganised my  clinic to cover  her apt .My daughter received a letter today Advising that her clinic date had been changed. (4 days notice of change )

She called to ask why change of date . Admin could be of no help other than offer other dates .They gave her the complaint telephone no. They could give us no direct link to the gynaecology team .

We feel frustrated . We made plans to attend this apt . A change to a patients apt has a knock on impact to others ,in this case the NHS .

Thank you very much for getting in touch with us via Care Opinion and l am very sorry to hear of the change of time for your daughter's appointment. I can really appreciate how frustrating this is especially when you have had to change your work commitments.

I have shared your feedback with appointments team who arrange the clinics.

I realise that you posted this feedback earlier in the week and that your daughter's appointment is due tomorrow but if you would like to get in touch with us so that we can look into this further I would be grateful if you or you daughter could contact the Patient Experience Team on 0131 536 3370.
