"Not really a complaint but this happened in..."

About: Royal Derby Hospital

My GP got me at my review for repeat prescriptions and told me that within three months I would not be able to get my pain killers and if I want to continue them I had to visit the Derby pain clinic as this was the only way, to be honest I was not keen and the GP told me paracetamol was better for me, mistake number 1, I told her I would stop taking the Remedeine and did switch to paracetamol as I could see myself getting cornered, this of course was more bad than I could have imagined as the paracetamol are not a good replacement for Remedeine. I went to the pain clinic at Derby and they recommended me staying on a more powerful drug and should continue the Remedeine until the letter from the pain clinic gets to the GP. However what I did not realise is that the letter is still at the hospital and my pain killers are almost gone and the GP took Remedeine off the repeat prescription, so now I can't get anything and despite two calls to the pain clinic about it, the doctor has not signed the letter and the GP is refusing to prescribe unless they have letter, I feel utterly let down by the system and no one seems to take responsibility for it.
