"Very professional approach"

About: Victoria Hospital / Day Intervention Unit

(as a service user),

On arrival at reception, I was collected by a nurse and taken through to the ward. The nurse was very friendly and approachable and made me feel relaxed. The surgeon explained in simple terms what his concerns were regarding the condition of my broken finger and what he was going to do during the operation and what condition my finger would be in afterwards. The surgeon and his fellow doctors were very professional in their approach and this gave me confidence that the operation would be successful.

The anaesthetist was friendly with a sense of humour and again explained the process in plain English.

The after operation nurses were great and went about their business, recording readings etc in a friendly and professional manner.

The lady who made the tea and toast was friendly and accommodating.
