"Family not being informed of patient progression"

About: King's Mill Hospital / Respiratory medicine

Absolutely disgusting. Catering staff rude. Family not being informed of patient progression even when asked. When finally able to speak to a doctor each one said completely different things to multiple family members and then something different to the patient after patient made staff aware wasn’t fully understanding and to speak to next of kin this was ignored and did there own thing without informing patient or relatives. Up side main dorms were some what clean but unfortunately side room wasn’t, especially bathroom. This needed to be brought to staff attention before was cleaned. Most nurses were brilliant but a small few really do let the rest down. Overall for respiratory treatment it was absolutely disgusting to the point where patient felt she was being kicked out even after been told that she wasn’t 100% stable to be home and equipment had to be scrambled and care plans changed to facilitate ward staff wanting to in there words “lighten the work load”
