My husband went to North Devon for a colonoscopy. We have always found the staff there to be wonderful. My husband has been ill, and we’re been there often in the last few years.
The only thing I could suggest is that sometimes communication between different departments seems slow. My husband came in anaemic and went to MAU, and needed a blood transfusion. His regular doctor didn’t come to see him because she hadn’t been told he was there – so didn’t know about the blood transfusion. I think they should examine how they communicate to staff who are responsible for the care of a patient who is in the hospital.
Oh, and we just love Graham on reception! He is so kind, welcoming and always helpful.
