"Absolutely shocking!"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital

My partner was on ward 231 following passing out and started to fit. Everything was going ok up there until 5 o’clock this morning they woke him up to tell him they needed his bed and room. They then moved him on to the corridor on that ward sitting on a chair for 7 hours until he had his results and been discharged. I find this absolutely shocking to treat someone. They offered him no drinks or food and I will be taking this further. This is my partner who I treat with respect and do not for one moment expect someone else treat him any different

Thank you for taking the time to share this experience. I have spoken to the Matron for Ward 231 regarding this issue and we would be very grateful if you could contact our Patient Advice & Liaison Service (PALS) on 01782 676450 or via email to patientadvice.uhnm@nhs.net to provide additional details to allow us to further investigate these concerns.

Kindest regards
