"Labour Ward - Amazing Staff"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Maternity care

I came to the hospital to be induced to have my baby and the staff who were on the induction ward were amazing. I’d had various complications and they were really reassuring through out my time there. I was induced on the Monday but unfortunately it didn’t work and left me in some pain which wasn’t normal and the midwife in charge was so good with me and stayed late way after her shift finished to ensure I was well. The second day they tried the induction again but I had the same complications again but after 18 hours instead of 4, again the staff and my consultant were brilliant and supportive. By the third day it was decided a c section would be best and the midwife in charge who’d been with me for the first two days changed her duties to come into the theatre with me which was great as she’d been so good with me. After the birth all the staff on the ward were really helpful and I stayed on the ward till Friday. All the staff throughout my staff were great and really helped me especially as I’d had some complications and fears due to previous experience which unfortunately did not end well.

Thank you to all the staff they do an amazing job!
