I take my dad to the dermatology clinic at Mount Gould. They are wonderful there, and the building is nice, clean and accessible. However, I do feel there is a privacy issue with the Sentinel reception desk right next to the waiting area. My father is a little deaf, and they have to speak up to talk to him, but often the conversation is personal in nature. I’m not sure how they resolve this, but perhaps the ladies behind reception should be aware of it as they talk to older patients.

Thank you for your story and raising your concerns about patient confidentiality at our reception at Mount Gould Local Care Centre, we very much welcome your feedback.

I have spoken to the team at Mount Gould and made them aware of your feedback and we intend to make a simple change at reception by introducing a sign offering patients the opportunity to speak in a more confidential area. As you pointed out it is difficult to tackle the design of the reception, but we hope this step will go some way to reassuring and offering patients the option.
