Its astonishing in this day and age we do still have people working to the point of being clearly exhausted. Yes thats just one thing I noticed whilst being in Medway Hospital. I was ill and still am but could still see , hear and appreciate the high level of nursing care by those in grey and light blue uniforms. Not forgetting the catering staff who do their best but some things beggar belief. No hot drinks with meals ie tea at 6am but toast at 9 hard to eat with cold water ! If yu want to make money put a tea machine in each ward. Not a big one just office size. Dreadful food the vegetable hot pot was plate of over spiced and revolting pulses and dried out potatoes. My husband bought food in for me.
From next week tea the hospital supper (again no hot drink offerred) will be half a sandwich and a cup of soup. As good nutrition is suppposed to aid healing how do you justify the appalling catering in Medway and don't tell me its about the money as Canterbury food is ok as is Darent. The staff in this hospital are not the faces on the notice board by the door nor are they going to be seen by many of us for more than a couple of days but they affect our lives for those few days so deeply and I applaud them all.
This review is of the ward as was admitted through Medical and Medoc which is not listed under more information.
"Great staff shame on management"
