We attended the out of hours walk-in centre after calling NHS 111 with my daughter. As soon as they assessed her and did her NEWS score they whizzed her straight round to A&E and rapidly administered treatment. After a couple of hours in A&E they decided to admit her and she was taken to ward 18 who looked after her very well. She only needed to stay in overnight. I have no doubt the early recognition she was so poorly by the nurse in the walk-in centre and then the rapid response with the initial treatment in A&E has led to a quick recovery. All the staff (doctors, nurses, healthcare assistants) were lovely and absolutely on the ball with the rapid response to the NEWS score. Fantastic work!
"Excellent care in walk in centre, A&E and ward 18"
