About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham

Im a patience of the QE since 2016 waiting for a Heart Transplant. I need to visit the hospital every few months for my heart tracking appointments. My one and only "complaint" is not about the staff or doctors but about how we wait for the appointment to see our consultant. Since all of us who visit this part of the hospital are serious ill with heart failure and lung failure there are only 4 chairs available for the patiences to sit on and all of the time of my visits there are many more than 4 people waiting to be seen by their consultant. With heart/lung failure standing causes major issues and the clinic with is situated down a narrow corridor has nurses patients trolleys etc passing through all the time. So not only is it cramped but not at all thought about regarding the health and comfort of the patiences. Plenty of times I've seen some people with oxygen tanks having to lean against the walls waiting for their appointment or heart failure patiences struggling to stand for long. Whereas other waiting areas for less serious patience have more than enough sitting available. So I'm just leaving my comment that hopefully someone can make a few changes even just by adding a few extra chairs for us. Life isn't easy for us with this illness we struggle everyday so please at least make our hospital appointment a bit more pleasant for us than us dreading the waiting time standing up. The
