"Wasted Paper and staff resources"

About: Barnsley Hospital

(as the patient),

The Choose and Book system generates 3 sheets of paper, when appointment is cancelled another 3 sheets are sent, could back to back printing not be used and the information condensed to use only 2 sheets saving paper, ink and money?

Also at 2 recent clinic appointments the consultant had a presumed trained nurse in a blue uniform in attendance. Apart from asking me to sit down and handing me a sheet of paper at the end she never spoke or moved. Surely a health care assistant level 2 could assist the doctor?

Following 1 appointment I then had to go for blood taking - should she not have done this? This is a waste of skills and training. At this level her skills would be of much greater use elsewhere saving the service money.
