I had a planned Caesarean section after a difficult delivery with my daughter a few years ago. All the staff who looked after us were amazing from start to finish.
Even though it was a planned caesarean, I was really nervous about it as I’ve never had surgery before. My midwife Lucy who looked after me before, during and after giving birth was really lovely and gave me lots of reassurance. All the ladies (and one man, I can’t remember his name) in theatre were so lovely and made me feel at ease.
I recovered really well from my c-section and was allowed home less than 48 hours later. All the midwifes on the post natal ward were so friendly and always on hand to help with a feed or nappy change.
