"5 month wait for Cancer treatment"

About: Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

I was given a two week referral by my GP as I had the symptoms of bowel cancer.Because of the delays in appointment's for scan's etc , meeting my consultant who forgot to send me for a biopsy which I have had three attempts to do and has taken two months , it is now five months since my referral. My scan in January must now be out of date, I have been going out of my mind with worry the last five months. There doesn't seem any urgency in my treatment even through the govement guidelines states cancer treatment should be diagnosed and treatment started in 62 day's.. SHAME ON THIS HOSPITAl, if anyone else has cancer symptoms be referred to another hospital
