"Praise where its due"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Specialist Children's Community Nursing (SCCN)

(as a parent/guardian),

Our son was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2016.  It has been a difficult journey but one made easier by the service provided by the Bromley Children's Community Nursing team.  Their weekly visits to our home for treatment and blood tests have meant that we have not needed to attend hospital for some medication and every week for blood tests.  This has made such a difference when so much of our time is spent in various hospitals.  The nurses feel like part of our extended family, we talk, laugh and cry with them and we will be sad to say goodbye when our son no longer requires his weekly blood tests.

We would like to say a special thank you to Karen, Laura, Paula, Nicole and Laura you have all made a huge difference to our family and thank you to the rest of the team for your support, we will always be thankful to you all.

Dear Biggin Hill Mum

What wonderful feedback for the Children's Community Nursing Team thank you so much for taking the time, in what must be a very busy life, to express your thanks.

I will of course ensure that the team see your posting and it will certainly make their day.

With all good wishes to you as a family and in particular to your son.

Best Wishes

Julie

Update posted by Biggin Hill Mum (a parent/guardian)

Thank you Julie,

To be honest no words could express how truely thankful we are to them. I feel that people are all to quick to complain but these ladies have been amazing in some of the toughest times and that deserves to be recognised. We shall all miss them greatly as we have become so used to their weekly visits.

Many thanks for your response.

Biggin Hill Mum
