"It’s shocking that a modern hospital doesn’t have WiFi"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as a relative),

Attended with my father waited almost 4 hrs to get seen, I understand it’s busy but can I point out to Forth Valley hospital this is 2019 we expect to be able to have access to our phones, the days of fear of the signal causing interference with machinery has long gone. I had to keep going out and leaving him to phone to update the family what was happening. I did ask to use the phone at the desk and the nurses once they stopped gossiping did eventually get it for me. Get WiFi access it’s shocking that ‘a supposed modern hospital with robots doesn’t have WiFi all the time and not only available from the receptionist at the other side of the hospital

Dear Rohm,

I am sorry to hear that you have had a less than ideal experience while in FVRH Emergency Department. We do have a cordless phone we can lend to patients while in the department to allow them to make calls, I am sorry if there was a delay in getting a phone for you. We are able to get wifi passwords for patients for their stay in hospital, I am not sure if this would have been beneficial for your father.

I do hope your father is now on the mend.
