"Waiting for call back"

I got a letter saying they wanted me to phone about a blood test I phoned on Monday morning at 8 30 .May 20th was told someone would phone me Thursday. This is ridiculous its 11 15 I'm still sitting at home waiting. Cant ho out because you cant drive at talk on phone. I'm 69 years old and this really annoying..Corinne Davis

I am so sorry you feel this service is ridiculous.

Most people will appreciate not having to wait around and choose to have a telephone call as preference so they can go about their business.

If the doctor calls whilst you are driving they are more that happy to wait for you to park.

I suppose we assume that everyone has hands free these days for which I apologise.

We felt it such a waste of your time and the doctors bringing you into the surgery when most results can be discussed over the telephone.
