Whilst on holiday in Devon my mother unfortunately was taken ill and had to be ambulance into the Exeter hospital. From the start of the process with the paramedics my mother received excellent care. On arrival a doctor was on hand in triage and straightaway this meant she was allocated the appropriate tests which would get to the diagnosis quicker. At each stage we were introduced to the doctor and nurse and assistants all of which treated my mother with respect, professionalism and dignity. Once she had been treated and ready for discharge we were also given an appointment to see a stroke specialist the next day. This was also excellent service and so efficient again the staff all dealt with my mother in the same efficient and friendly way. Thankfully my mother is OK and we are now home and thanks to the recommendations made at the Exeter is getting better treatment. We as a family would like our thanks passed onto all the staff involved.
