Whilst I fully respect the work of the NHS and can understand how recent cutbacks and other government policies have impacted services, this practice has gone down hill significantly in the past few months. The reception staff are some of the most ignorant, obnoxious people I've ever come across. I appreciate the pressure, but it would be nice to be treated with respect and less like I am an inconvenience to them. ( I can only assume a period spent in the private sector would help). As for the Drs, you never see the same person twice; I appreciate how they are seeking to fulfill the position of a full time GP but with 2 previous GP's leaving to pastures new you begin to wonder what's happened that is so bad! The care recieved is generally satisfactory, you tend to get more care and attention from that of the locum doctors than you do your own. One particular Dr has a bad attitude problem and the other whilst generally helpful, spends more time on holiday than he does at the practice - don't expect this Dr to read your notes or officially diagnosis you however, he is too busy plastering a fake smile on. I've recently noticed how the Nurse Prescriber has left the practice - seems like only she could put up with the place for so long! The practice doesn't even offer simple services like blood tests. Such a shame when it has the potential to be good! I'm grateful of the NHS, but Park St please up your game. My NHS Dentist is miles ahead in care and support. Don't let the hospitals take all the strain The best thing that could happen here is new partners take over the practice or it be sold privately to company in conjunction with the NHS. Maybe then, standards will drastically improve. Time for new management and a swift, no nonsense approach.
"Could be greatly improved."
