"Only the best is good enough."

About: Northern General Hospital / Cardiothoracic surgery

I was admitted to Chesterman Suite during September 2018 with a stenosed aortic valve and requiring a double bypass.

From admission to discharge I was treated with dignity and respect. I cannot praise highly enough all of the cardiology staff that I was treated by or cared for, whether by consultant or cleaner.

My wife - a senior sister - has expressed her admiration for the professionalism, high standards and treatment they gave me in ICU - High praise indeed.

The staff give such demanding treatment and remain positive all of the time.

I must praise the theater staff on the way that they approach their job.

I succumbed to the anesthetic laughing and relaxed at the jokes and conversation we were having and I am sure it aided in my rapid pain free recovery.

But - awful water.

Thank you for leaving feedback, although we are sorry you required a hospital admission. Your kind words will mean a great deal to the staff concerned, who will be very encouraged by it. They will be very pleased to know you felt well cared for as this is what they strive for. We are sorry about the water and will share this with appropriate team.

With thanks and best wishes
