"Unsympathetic doctors, abrupt & brisk dealing..."

About: The Junction Medical Practice

My father has been with this practice since 1982 and was previously very happy with the service. Since the practice merger it is very difficult to get an appointment, especially with a named doctor. I appreciate that all doctors are under tremendous pressure and work in a challenging environment but if you can’t be bothered to try and find out what help an elderly patient needs maybe this isn’t the job for you. On the occasions I have visited the surgery with my father I have found the doctors to be very abrupt and dismissive of his concerns. Know allowance is made when dealing with a confused and elderly patient, and advice at times has been to just “look on-line for more information”. Not at all appropriate for a senior patient. The reception staff on the other hand are professional, kind and compassionate. I do not use this surgery and I would never take my children there to see the doctors. The service is poor.

It is unfortunate that you have decided to remain anonymous as this has made it impossible for us to investigate your complaint. If you could give us some more details we shall look into it thoroughly. In the meantime, we apologise for the upset we have caused.
