My father has been with this practice since 1982 and was previously very happy with the service. Since the practice merger it is very difficult to get an appointment, especially with a named doctor. I appreciate that all doctors are under tremendous pressure and work in a challenging environment but if you can’t be bothered to try and find out what help an elderly patient needs maybe this isn’t the job for you. On the occasions I have visited the surgery with my father I have found the doctors to be very abrupt and dismissive of his concerns. Know allowance is made when dealing with a confused and elderly patient, and advice at times has been to just “look on-line for more information”. Not at all appropriate for a senior patient. The reception staff on the other hand are professional, kind and compassionate. I do not use this surgery and I would never take my children there to see the doctors. The service is poor.
