"Speedy Dental care"

About: Nairn Town and County Hospital / Dental NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a service user),

I called NHS24 at 11.50pm on a Sunday as was on Holiday in Nairn for the week & had developed severe dental pain.

After speaking to a lovely call handler then a dental nurse I was advised to call a local number in the morning for an appointment. At 9am I received a call offering me an appointment at that morning at Nairn Town & County Hospital NHS Dentist.

Thankfully I got the offending tooth taken out and ended up having  a fantastic holiday.

I cannot thank the NHS enough for the care and swift treatment I received from everyone involved. Everyone was kind caring and extremely pleasant!

From my initial call I was treated within 11 hours!! Again Huge Thanks to All!

Sorry to learn you had toothache which can be extremely debilitating and unpleasant and even worse when it strikes on holiday!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience and I am pleased that you were able to get the offending tooth removed quickly. Your story is a good example of services working together to provide the best possible patient care in a timely manner.
