"feel like a time waster"

About: Yeovil District Hospital / Maternity care

after finding a lump and seeing my GP I was referred to the women’s hospital. On arrival the waiting room was full, no seating for pregnant women? The cafe was used as overflow and not particularly clean. Bedside manner was lacking, was expecting a bit more understanding as extremely nervous and uncomfortable. Tried to make small talk, this was ignored. I was asked to find the lump and point it out, however I was told to lye on my back then onto my side. I found the lump whist stood upright in the shower not lying down, I told them this. I struggled to find it immediately. I have 2 skin blemishes close to it but lying down altered my shape so that didn’t help finding it. A quick ultrasound was done. I was advised to mark it next time I’m showering so it could be found easier. I had a test done for survey last October which will now be looked at again to make sure nothing was missed and an appointment for another ultrasound is to be done as the machine used at this appointment was old and not brilliant? I have walked out today none the wiser and made to feel like a time waster. How can I and my GP find it but not the clinician? I may as well have diagnosed my self. The nurse attending was obviously not listening as she repeated the next steps to be taken immediately after the clinician had told me. What I expected and what I got couldn’t have been further apart. I was also told it won’t be cancer? Also, handed the form to the nurse with all the relevant information on.i don’t think this was read as all the answers were there to all the questions I was asked.

No-one confirmed who I was either?
