(as a carer),

I’m in here for a simple day case operation. I’ve been waiting 5 months. My GP care is great. I’d trust him with my life.

Tiverton Hospital

My original appointment was here 2 and half years ago. Since then I’ve been seen 4 or 5 times mostly at Wonford Hospital. Wonford was fine, absolutely fine but Tiverton is more convenient. Since they decided I needed this operation I’ve been waiting about 3 months.

What would I like for the future of Tiverton Hospital? Well my daughter had her baby here and it was great. But then there was all that too-ing and fro-ing about whether they were going to keep maternity here or not. Unsettling for everybody.

Overall the NHS is just a wonderful institution. I’m not saying its perfect but when you compare it to other countries it’s wonderful.
