I was admitted to Warwick Hospital on Saturday 27th April 2019 with chest pains while holidaying in the Cotswolds where I was diagnosed with Unstable Angina and having a minor heart attack.
I have to say that the care I received both in A&E, and subsequently on the Oken and Malins wards, at Warwick was excellent throughout, particularly the nursing staff who were calm, efficient, professional and even cheerful at all times.
I was transferred to Coventry for an Angiogram and Angioplasty procedure on Thursday 2nd May and I can only say that the care, efficiency and professionalism was exemplary. I couldn't believe that the whole procedure was complete and I was back in the ward having a cup of tea within one hour.
I was even able to be discharged later that same day and was able to be collected and travel back to Colchester, Essex that evening.
So in short I would like to extend my "heartfelt" thanks (no pun intended!) to all of the medical teams, nursing and support staff for giving me a new lease of life, which means I can eventually get back to running the 5ks and 10k's that I love.
Keep up the great work!
