I was optimistic about my procedure and felt confident that the nurses would look after me for. my day surgery. However, the nurse who looked after me was miserable the whole day.
They made faces all through my admission, I was left without being asked to change in to theatre gown when the trolley arrived. I had to ask for the enema that was prescribed as the nurse was eventually trying to get me on the trolley for theatre. They made the porter wait for 30 minutes.
He couldnt have been nicer. He offered to help with the ties on my gown and insisted on putting my bag in the locker for safety. He chatted all the time putting me at ease. On my return from the excellent care in day surgery the nurse ignored me again. I had to go and find them to ask for my venflon to be removed. Then after another 30 minutes had to ask for for and fluids. A very poor experience.
