Upon arrival at this hospital, it looked like I was entering a time machine to the 1980's, gloomy, dirty and unkempt. I can only imagine that they've had some severe budgeting restraints over the years. Staff looked unhappy, and frankly most of them whom I delt with were just rude and unprofessional. Upon entering the ward I was assigned to, I noticed the my bed's handrails had spots of dried blood all over it. Obviously the cleaners don't do their job properly or even care about the risks of cross contamination ect. Staff in the ward were once again rude and unprofessional, huffing and puffing to simple requests and even ignoring the nurse call alarms leaving them ringing for ages. A few days in of my stay there was a visitor seeing another patient, one of the patients vital machines had stop working, when the patients relative asked why it wasn't working and making an alarm noise, the nurse replied: "I don't know, I don't know how to operate or fix this machine". A few seconds later the patients relative actually fixed this machine himself, this nurse was quite shocked but extremely dangerous I think considering nurses are having to resort to a members of the public with no medical experience/knowledge to fix vital medical machines for them! Moral of this story is try and stay away from this hospital or if you have to visit good luck and be vigilant!
"A run down hospital with no hope!"
