"Follow up to earlier communication."

About: University Hospital Monklands / Ear, Nose & Throat (Ward 9)

(as the patient),

After I finished my last communication I received a phone call from the nurse in  response to the message I left on her answering machine yesterday  explaining they delay in getting back to me. I explained that I had contacted the relevant office to check that they had received my referral but was told they hadn't. They explained thet had sent the referral in January after my appointment and was able to access and read out the contents of the letter.

The upshot of this call is that I was offered two appointment dates, the first one did not suit me but I accepted the second one at Monkland's Hospital.

 I feel:

- happier that I have been given an appointment

- relieved at the appointment is quite soon

- surprised at how quickly I was offered an appointment during the phone call

- more optimistic about getting some reassurance from a consultant
