"Absolutely impossible to get an appointment"

About: Cedar House Surgery

Since Lakeside have taken over this surgery it’s gone downhill.in the last two days I have phoned nearly 200 times to make an appointment and I’ve still not reached anyone to speak to. I called yesterday 125 times, mainly from 8am but also at sporadic times throughout the day. The best I got was to either number 11 in the queue or 17 in the queue to the then be disconnected. Lines open at 8am, it’s now 8.21 and I’ve already phone again a total of 79 times and I cannot get through. This anxiety this gives me is appalling and I can only imagine what this would do to someone with a serious mental health condition. Something has got to change!

thank you for your feedback. We are experiencing extreme staff shortages in both our administrative and clinical teams which we are trying our best to recruit to, this has had an affect on call waiting time. We currently have 6 vacancies with 2 new members of the team also, you may wish to sign up to our online booking system where you can pre-book appointments.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused, but please be assured we are working hard to improve the situation.
