"Caring and compassionate"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I visited Hairmyres A&E as I was experiencing pain in early pregnancy. Both the nurse and doctor who spoke to me were caring and compassionate. They made a very difficult time much easier and seemed to know the correct things to say to make me feel better. I even called back later and managed to talk to the same doctor with some concerns I had not asked about at the time.

I can’t thank them enough.

Dear Lj30

Thank you for taking the time and effort to contact us via Care Opinion. I'm very sorry to hear of your situation. Pregnancy can be a very worrying time, and whilst we would never want anyone to need to attend A&E with any worries during early pregnancy, we are only glad that when the unfortunate need arises that our team of staff can be of assistance.

I'm delighted to hear that they helped you when you needed some physical and moral support.

It’s wonderful to know their hard work is noticed and appreciated, thank you for contacting us and I will pass on your thanks to the A&E team.

Please relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy, and may it now be the exciting experience you wish for.

Kind Regards

Hazel
