I had cause to go to the A&E on Wednesday evening with a problem with my eyes. Unfortunately I didnt realise that there was no-one to see me after 5pm for an eye problem. This however, did not stop being seen by Triage and then shortly followed by a Doctor who advised me that they would ring me in the morning (Thurs) with an appointment for the Eye Clinic. I left feeling a bit on edge and wondering whether I would get a phone call but
I received a call at 0910 on Thursday morning telling me to come straight to the Eye Clinic. This I did and I was seen promptly and after several tests were performed, I saw an Opthalmologist who examined my eyes thoroughly and gave me the diagnosis. I left the clinic with the promise of a phone call on Monday to inform me of an appointment for an injection. I was again apprehensive But today (Saturday) I received an appointment by post for next Thursday. I cannot believe how quickly all this has been sorted and how professional everyone in A&E and the Eye Clinic were and how understanding of my obvious worries. I personally have Private Medical but I would not have been seen any sooner. Well done to the Departments concerned.
"Brilliant treatment and care"
