"First class emergency service"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital / Ophthalmology

I was referred from A&E at Chester with possible retinal tear. Seen by consultant at St Paul's within 24 hours and booked in for surgery a day later, as it was May Bank Holiday The whole process was professional from booking in, through triage to diagnosis. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was explained clearly. The nurse even made my partner and I a cup of tea without prompting and was very reassuring about the process. I have my operation tomorrow and am confident and relaxed about the process. Thank you to all the staff for doing such a great NHS job.
