My grandson has been admitted frequent times with breathing problems and various viruses . The staff in both wards were rather rude to the parents and said he was just a happy wheezer also questioned on their parenting skill. The staff in the medical ward also left the cot side down after suctioning my grandson and he fell out the bed, he is 6 months old.
We have still have no definitive answers to my grandson's conditions and lots of different advise and conflicting approaches which has confused the parents. They also proceeded to tell us that saturation levels below 90 are ok to take a baby home with when he has oxygen nightly when in hospital. We also had no tests to check why this is happening. I have questioned consultants regarding this and have had no clear plan to why this happens.
My grandson still has no clear plan on how he is treated for this underlying condition, care has been poor at best and did not notify us that he had Norovirus until the end of a day when we should have been notified and using the appropriate PPE to eliminate cross contamination.
The treatment on my grandson has been poor. Furthermore, my grandson I feel is at risk with his breathing episodes and we have no clear treatment plan to follow at home.
"No clear plan"
