"I am hearing impaired: how do I contact the hospital?"

About: Leatherhead Hospital

(as the patient),

I was referred by my local Health Centre but on the appointment there was only a phone number.

I am hearing impaired I am very concerned that if the appointment had to be changed, or cancelled then I would have to give a 3rd party all my personal medical details so they could contact the hospital etc, and I don't like doing this.

There should be an email address or way for me to text the hospital.

Hello Lola8, thank you for your posting, I'm sorry that an email address or text number wasn't readily available to you .

Our referrals team (email: CSH.Referrals@nhs.net) can help you to rebook an appointment time for services delivered by Central Surrey Health.

Could you email me directly if your appointment letter does not say 'Central Surrey Health', so that I can get the correct email address for you? There are several other health care providers working at Leatherhead hospital and I want to make sure you can contact the right team. You can reach me on tessa.webb@nhs.net, I will be happy to find out this information for you. All I need to know is the name on the letter head and the department your appointment is with so that I can get you the right email address or text number, you do not need to give me any of your personal information.

I hope this helps you in the short term.

I'll pass this on to our communications manager as well, to look at changing contact information on appointment letters to help in the long term.
