"Elective C -Section"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as the patient),

Since my previous post regarding the births of my two eldest children I have since had a third child born in April. I had another elective c-section which went so smoothly. This time my midwife who has cared for me throughout my pregnancy was able to join us when our little boy was delivered. The care and treatment we both received was again fantastic. I cannot fault any of the staff at FVRH. The midwives and nurses are so caring and meet your every need whilst under their care. I asked to stay an additional night in hospital and this was not a problem. Once again a big thank you to the surgeons, anaesthetists, midwives, nurses and everyone who looked after myself and my baby during our stay. Also a huge thank you to my midwife Laura.

Dear Beau1984,

Thank you for your kind message and for taking the time to give us feedback. I'm not sure of the exact date of your visit, however I've passed this on to the entire theatre team of Nurses and anaesthetist to make sure they all get a chance to see it. I'll do my best to make sure your message finds it way to the midwives too, especially Laura.

I hope you and baby are both doing well.

Dear Beau1984

It is great to hear from you again as I recall your previous posting about the births of your little boys. Big "Congratulations" on the birth of your third little boy! I hope you are both doing well and big brothers are happy with their new wee brother!

Thank you for such fantastic feedback for all of the teams in maternity and theatres. As John says this is such a busy and tiring time for you, so many thanks for taking the time to get in touch. It is wonderful to hear that everyone helped make your experience such a positive one. Praise indeed for everyone involved.

It is also great to hear that Laura was there throughout your pregnancy as well as the birth. This makes it even more special for everyone and I am sure Laura will have been delighted that she was there to see your new bundle of joy in to the world. She will feel almost like part of the family! Can I ask if this is the same Laura who was your community midwife with your older boys?

I will also make sure your posting is shared with all, especially Laura.

Once again many thanks for such positive feedback and can I take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the thrilling fun that lies ahead with your little boys.

Kindest regards

Gail

Hi Gail

Thank you for your reply. Yes Laura was the same community midwife that I had throughout all three pregnancies so it was lovely that she was able to attend the birth of my third little bundle. She will always be a part of my memories when reminiscing about my pregnancies and of course now the birth.

Overall my experiences were just brilliant thanks to all the wonderful people at FVRH who delivered all my boys safely into the world and looked after us flawlessly until we got home.

Regards
