Taken by ambulance to A&E after my 70yr old mum sustained a deep puncture wound on her temple after tripping over the dog! The paramedics worked wonders-calm, cool and collected, took us to A&E, where mum was quickly assessed, examined, bloods taken, B/P etc then one of the Doctors stitched the wound and monitored for an hour or so before discharging her.
It is a very fast paced Dept. but the staff were efficient, friendly, with a sense of humour and considerate. The area was clean, well maintained, cubicles as private as possible! NHS staff work very hard, have very long shifts, and I wish I could grant higher wages and higher funding because from the bottom to the top of the staff pyramid, they are all equally important Thank you ALL xxxx
