About: Tiverton and District Hospital

What I liked

I attended the Day Case Unit at Tiverton Hospital for the excision of a hydrocele .I had previously attended the Unit for a pre-op.appointment with a nursing sister which i found very informative and reassuring .On the day of the operation I found all the team dealing with me to be very professional ,yet friendly and they kept me informed as to what would happen at each stage. I met one fo the doctors prior to the operation as well as the anaesthetist. I was treated with dignity and sensitivity throughout. I had seen my consultant a month earlier at the RD&E who was also excellent and confirmed the diagnosis and procedure that was to follow. I wish to thank all of those involved for their first class care and treatment.

What could be improved

Response from Pat Parker, Locality Business Manager, Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust

We have passed your very kind thoughts on to the staff in the day case unit.

It is good to hear that our patients are getting the kind of care and service that we strive to give.
