"Hospital is not fit for purpose"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital / General surgery

In December after suffering a mild stroke I was release on the same day made a complete recovery then out of the blue in January of this year I received a phone call from my doctor's receptionist telling me I had a shadow on my lung it taking this hospital four months to tell me it wasn't cancer which you can imagine put me and my family under a lot of bstress each time I visit this Hospital the doctors never have the results of the test I've undergo they tell you by letter a few weeks later about the results it would have been far easier for me to keep away from this hospital which I have decided to do now after my last visit the doctor was an absolute disgrace couldn't give a damn I could say a lot more but what's the point it's just a bloody awful Hospital as the Care Commission says not fit for purpose I couldn't agree anymore

Dear Patient

I write further to your comments about your experiences at the hospital. I am sorry to read you have concerns about the length of time to receive your test results and apologise for the distress and frustration caused to you. I will share this with the senior staff in the hospital so they are aware but please contact me at pals@nnuh.nhs.uk should you wish to discuss this further. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

With kind regards

Sarah, PALS Manager
