What I liked
I had burnt myself quite badly and attended the A&E department, while the lady at the front desk was taking my details, there was a paramedic behind her, he saw how much pain i was in, gave me a comforting smile and said to the lady he was going to get me something to put on it while i waited. Its the tiny things that really make a difference to a difficult situation. It made me feel genuinely cared for as oppose to just another number.
I had to wait about an hour and a half to be seen but when i eventually was, the nurse actually revealed that she was meant to be on her break but she understands I've been waiting a long time with a burn wound and so was going to sort me out and then take the remainder of her break. She went the extra mile for me.
What could be improved
The toilet facilities could have been a bit cleaner!
Anything else?
The wait time is not something i believe the staff there can have a lot of control over, it depends on many factors, however the service the patients receive i believe they can have total control of and i feel they gave me brilliant service and did everything they could to make me more comfortable while i had to wait. Thoroughly impressed.
Please pass on my feedback and thanks to the team.
"A painful experience was at least as comfortable..."
