"Thankyou Sheffield Children's hospital"

What I liked

I took my daughter to a&e with recurrent headaches, vomiting and lethargy. We were seen very quickly by the nurse and then again by the doctors. Within a short time we got the devastating news that our daughter had a brain tumour (despite our local hospital sending us home a week earlier with calpol!).

Throughout our stay in hospital, my daughter received the very best care from the neurosurgeon, doctors and nurses. She was a very frightened little girl, but they all spent time with her, were very patient and tried to gain her trust. Nothing was too much trouble. They have continued their care and support providing us with appointments with the playworkers and psychologist.

I have nothing but praise for the childrens hospital and would definitely recommend.
