"Sadly good staff let down by a minority"

About: Western Eye Hospital / Ophthalmology

I once gave the hospital 5 stars I was hoping that treatment would continue but I’ve been proven to have been woefully wrong, the vast majority of clinical staff are fabulous but have been undermined by an awful administration which have ignored numerous emails and messages left, the phone number is never answered and no one returns messages. I have had to travel a substantial distance several times to come in as I had no way of changing dates they had given to me, when I did I was told “why don’t you go to another hospital” I’ve no experience of a worse outpatient service. The last two injections were so badly bungled meaning I ended up with a scratched cornea and suffering the worst excruciating pain of my life both times I ended up in The A&E for emergency treatment , following the first incident I was assured this was an accident that was extremely rare occurrence when I protested that I’d lost trust and confidence in having a further injection for it to once again be repeated and only have to endure the pain once again this time it lasted a week and my entire eye was full of blood. I’ve attempted communicate my experience and to have a proper diagnosis and dusciss the difficulty I’ve encountered only to be treated in the most off hand and

Cavalier fashion.

Hopefully systems will be put in place to support the dedicated staff who are let down by a minority of unprofessional and unskilled admin and clinical staff.
