Have ongoing urinary problems which run in the family, I get frequent UTIs, odd kidney stones and and I now have to self catheterize. Been waiting for an appointment with urologist since summer last year in Stornoway but due to work, weather and cancellations by the department still not been seen. Was due to see them and it’s been cancelled again because of the huge backlog at Raigmore! What do they think is going to happen at Stornoway! Who’s going to address that backlog?
How can it be possible to carry out consultations when staff are also on call? It doesn’t and won’t work that way. Why are they not working 5 days a week to reduce this waiting list?
I still believe even though the hospital disputed it that my problems are down to the fact you can’t get to see the urologist when you should. I don’t have any confidence in this department. Depending on who you speak to at Stornoway or in Inverness you get a different answer!
