My husband was given high quality, timely, friendly care from healthcare professionals at every stage. Staff in A&E gave him a range of tests promptly w good humour and patience, while clearly under pressure as Majors was very busy. He was given a trolley with apologies for being in a corridor (which we didn't mind, just grateful he could lie down), and always treated w as much dignity as possible. He was admitted and found a medical bed earlier than expected. Staff in AMU and ward 3 Fothergill looked after him brilliantly - nurses were v professional, efficient and warm - and he was happy to be discharged 1.5 days later. The friendly porters even found a wheelchair for me as I'm recovering from an injury and wheeled us both during a transfer! The only thing we'd improve is that A&E staff weren't able to get his test results to AMU so a ward transfer was delayed for a re-test that shouldn't have been necessary. But we know everyone's incredibly busy. Huge thanks to everyone for great care.
"Fantastic care"
